100 students take part in anti-consumerism Christmas pop up

100 Hereford College of Arts students are going to hand out free Christmas gifts in an act of arty altruism amid the consumer frenzy.

While the word flash mob is involved, don't be put off. HCA Foundation and Portfolio students have been commissioned to create a pop-up exhibition at De Koffie Pot in Hereford (running Thursday, December 15 and Friday, December 16 only).

At 4pm on the Friday, they'll take the exhibition pieces into Hereford city centre and, stopping Christmas shoppers at random, will hand out gifts of original artwork.
