What's on at Queenswood Country Park this Christmas

Stuck for simple pleasures in the run up to “the big day”? Then head for the county’s heart.

Here's a run down of the family fun offers taking place at Queenswood Country Park, near Hope-under-Dinmore, this festive season.

Robin's Winter Wonderland Christmas Trail

Download and print Christmas Trail sheets and bring them to Queenswood to join Robin - one of the cheery creatures left at Queenswood at this time of year. For grown-ups - this trail follows the Badger Trail at Queenswood so is suitable for pushchairs, though it may be a little muddy at this time of year.

Queenswood 'Passport to Adventure' Trail

Go wild at Queenswood and design your very own amazing adventure as you explore the woods. Download the Passport to Adventure Trail (aimed at 7+ year olds) and print out the sheets to complete as your imagination runs away with you.

The Round and Round Queenswood Summer Trail

For younger children download and print the new 'Round and Round Queenswood' Summer Trail full of family fun activities. This trail is aimed at 3-7 year olds and follows a route that is accessible to pushchairs. Favourite toys can come too.

If you're looking for outside inspiration during the holiday, take a look at the Where Wild Things Play Guide for Families. Produced by Herefordshire Council in partnership with Herefordshire Nature Trust, it's a handy little guide and you can download it... here.

Queenswood is the only designated country park in Herefordshire. Free to visit and open daily from dawn til dusk, you can explore the arborteum, the 47 acre tree collection and 123 acres of ancient woodland all year round.
