But essentially the MistaJam-signed producer and DJ is getting a lot of love on the airwaves at the moment for his potential Anthem Of The Summer above, expect more of the same feelgood beats to set off your Bank Holiday weekend.

FOOD & DRINK

PizzaNight

Pizza Night by Stoked Feasts @ Lower House Farm (nr Longtown)

Friday, from 5.30pm.

The culinary cool kids behind the series of Stoked Feasts are having a pizza party and you’re all invited.

Less formal than the set-menu meat marathons than they’re known for, they’re serving up stonebaked pizzas at their gorgeous HQ at the foot of the Black Mountains – with live music from Esk Allegra.

Free entry with a ticket. More info (and tickets) here.

FAMILY

Hereford River Carnival @ various locations, but mostly Bishop’s Meadow, Hereford

Friday - Saturday.

The two-day colourful, celebration that is the River Carnival has at tenuous amount of river-based activities – there are floats and flotillas – but mainly it’s about loads of fun stuff going on over at the playing fields and at the Left Bank.

For kids there’s everything from circus skills to craft stalls and drumming masterclasses, as well as a family-friendly music area organised by Nozstock.

Reggae Pie are also getting involved with a DJ set, and on the other bank the Speakeasy and rooftop Charles Bar are keeping the party going until late.

For the full programme, head to the main website here. Or to check out some pics from previous carnivals click here.

FESTIVALS

BIGlove

Big Love Festival @ Baskerville Hall, Clyro

Friday - Monday.

The answer to the question ‘what would happen if you gave a load of top nightclub promoters a stately home for three days?’, Big Love is a legitimate hidden gem of a music festival RIGHT ON YOUR DOORSTEP. Read all about it here.

It has a bit of throwback feel – Baskerville held some pretty well-known raves back the first time shell suits were cool – as well as indoor pool and lineup of certified party starters.

Headlining are Joy Orbison and Craig Charles’ Funk & Soul Party – but arguably the real gold is found on the undercard, with promoters from London, Bristol and Cardiff carving up the stages and bringing in their favourite DJs.

You can still buy day tickets for Saturday and Sunday here if you don’t feel like going for the whole weekend.

COMEDY

Farcical Comedy @ the Speakeasy, Hereford

Saturday, from 7.30pm.

Featuring an anarchist cook who whips up pancakes with power tools on stage, this month’s farcical comedy looks to be a lively affair. Regular MC James Ryan is replaced this month with the fresh-faced gag-Uzi that is Seann Walsh- and Rob Beckett-favourite Jake Lambert.

Get a ticket here while you still can. Click here.

…………………

And if none of that takes your fancy, the weatherman says we’re in for a scorcher on Sunday – so here’s a list of great beer gardens, tick off as many as you can.
