Day of the Dead has been celebrated in Mexico for some 3,000 years. More about honouring the dead than dressing up as a slutty pumpkin, its bright colours and Calavera sugar skulls are instantly recognisable. Here in Hereford, The Booth Hall and The Left Bank are getting involved with two days of Día De Los Muertos.

On Friday night, there'll be an Official Latino Festival Warm-up at The Booth with Day of the Dead costumes and live tunes from Los Squideros. On Saturday, there'll be tango classes and Wild West Salsa (in association with Strictly Hereford), flamenco in the De Koffie Pot studio, live jazz in Charles' Bar and a Mexican fiesta in the open air courtyard, with workshops, food, and music from The Reggae Pie Sound-System.
