How To Do The Ludlow Fringe With Kids... For Free

If you thought Ludlow Fringe, from June 17 to July 2, was an adults-only smorgasbord of cutting edge theatre, world class music, hilarious stand-up and original art, then read on….

The three weekends of the festival are in fact, dedicated to children and are completely family focused with a wide range of fun events. All the activities take part in easily accessible locations, either in the centre of town or on the beautifully scenic, Millennium Green.

And if that wasn’t enough, the majority of the activities are FREE.

MUM, I NEED A WEE!

On a practical note, all activities take place in or near the town centre with parking close by or a short 5 minute walk (maybe 10 if you are pushing a pram or pulling a toddler up our fairly steep streets!).  There are three principal public car parks, on-street parking (limited) and a park and ride based at the Eco Business Park.

Public toilets are located just off the town square and are usually clean and in good working order.  There is a 20p usage fee so come prepared!  Public toilets are also available at Smithfield Car Park, Lower Galdeford, Ludlow and there will be toilets open to public at the Ludlow Assembly Rooms, Saturdays only and exclusively on Sunday 18th June.

If you are looking to eat out, Pizza Express, Aragons, Wildwood and The Buttery all offer family menus and there are a host of cafes and sandwiches dotted around the town as well as a SPAR (with Subway) all within easy reach. For more information on access, accommodation and places to eat, visit www.ludlow.org.uk.
