Every few months Odeon screen a mystery blockbuster months ahead of it's general release - the catch is you don't know what it's going to be until the credits roll. They are pretty much always award-calibre films; Baby Driver, The Big Sick and Wind River have all featured this year.

There's one tonight, and it costs just £5 if you can dig your way in to Hereford. You can even follow some cryptic clues on Twitter to try and work out what it is.  More here.

Star Wars has quietly stepped in to Harry Potter's shoes when it comes to cornering the must-see Christmas movie market. And Odeon are doing something pretty cool this year for the release of The Last Jedi. You can catch a screening of 2015's brilliant A Force Awakens at 9pm, followed - with ample time for a toilet break and some popcorn - by a midnight premiere of The Last Jedi.

Just try and get a seat that's not next to bloke in the Chewbacca costume. More here.

Wed: FA Cup replay @ Edgar Street, Hereford

Dec 14 | £10 | 7.45pm | Hereford FC, Edgar St, Hereford HR4 9JR

The FA Cup holds a special place in this county's hearts. Aside from the odd episode of Countryfile, That Radford Goal is pretty much the only thing that gets us on the tele.

Well Peter Beadle's boys are in the middle of writing another chapter. Following their own historic draw at League One's Fleetwood Town, theyv'e earned a replay in front of the Meadow End. And this one's for all the marbles. The winner gets a home tie with recent Premier League champs Leicester City. The groundsmen are in for a busy week then...

Not that we're one to blow our own trumpet, but hosting hundreds of blanket-wrapped Elf fans for an outdoor screening by the river was one of Herefordshire Live's highlights of 2016.

Unfortunately we're not able to do it again this year - but the good news for al fresco movie fans is that there will be a mystery outdoor screening this year, outside Maylord shopping centre. The film's the animated Tom Hanks offereing Polar Express (we had to gogle it too, but it looks really fun and festive).
