Goldie, The Skints, Imelda May to play Nozstock: second wave of artists announced

Deep in the Hidden Valley, the good people of Nozstock have been working hard to pull together some special additions to the 2016 line-up.

The second wave of names announced this week includes Imelda May, The Skints, Jaguar Skills, Goldie, comedians Henning Wehn, Richard Herring and Phil Kay, along with hip-hop crew Sika Studios taking over the Bullpen.

The Skints are legendary for their fusion of reggae, ska and hip hop. The band have been fusing these elements together since 2007, creating an incomparable sound. Their 2016 will be a follow up to their storming 2013 Nozstock appearance.

Imelda May released her first studio album 'Love Tatto' in 2009, and followed it with a non-stop tour. By the ripe old age of 9, she'd fallen in love with rockabilly and the blues and now she's made a career out ot it, she's regularly praised for her star quality.

Also playing will be Jaguar Skills, a man famous for genre-crossing mixes and his mysterious absence of identity. With his legendary mix tape '1979-2006: A Hip-Hop Odyssey - 800 Tracks In 45 Minutes' getting a record one million downloads, and his penchant for deft turntablism resulting in regular mash-ups on Trevor Nelson, Jaguar Skills will bring a true festival experience to Noz.

Meanwhile, icon of the London club scene, Goldie will be giving Herefordshire audiences a chance to see why his renowned label Metalheadz recently earned him an MBE.

As for live comedy, the festival organisers have picked the cream of comedic talent to get your sides-a-splittin’. Henning Wehn, German comedy ambassador to the UK, will be joined by Richard Hegging, one half of Lee and Herring and star of BBC2s ‘Fist of Fun’, plus the outlandish and eccentric funny man Phil Kay.

Other heavy weight acts handpicked for this year's festival include Buster Shuffle, a 'cockney ska band with a rock and roll twist'; The Lounge Kittens, a 'charming and cheeky trio with a unique take on tunes that span genres from jazz to metal'; My Nu Leng with what'll probably be a blistering set with dark vibes; Uncle Dugs; Dutty Moonshine; Benjamin Yellowitz; Subculture Sage; Idles; Anchorsong; Funke and The Two Tone Baby; and Seas of Mirth.

Hip-hop heavyweights SIKA studios will be back at the Nozstock's Bullpen - that's the festival's original dance arena, a former bull pen and working milking parlour - with a selected line-up of urban music.
