Ryan Adams, PJ Harvey @ Green Man festival, Brecon Beacons

The Green Man lineup is a behemoth this year (17 -20 August). Although given the indie-ness of its big hitters, it is a behemoth that shuffles its feet slightly and looks at the floor when you talk to it.

That said, the big hitters are big. PJ Harvey,  Ryan Adams, Future Islands,  The Shins, Connor Oberst - all have Indie God credentials as strong as anyone, and all have a reputation for incredible live performances.

The new guard too are well-represented. The soulful, award-winning Michael Kiwanuka is joined by Badbadnotgood, the Canadian group who are perhaps the only people on Earth that could feasibly be in a Watsapp group with Bonobo and Ghostface Killah. Roni Size and the Sleaford Mods bring some real energy to the line-up, as do rock n' rollers Thee Oh Sees.

Check out the full lineup below - but based in Crickhowell, just a half-hour west of the county - it is likely the closest PJ Harvey et al will come from playing Herefordshire in quite a while.
