WildFoodsUK: Autumn Foraging Course @ Wellington Heath

WildFoodsUK is heading to Ledbury to host this Autumnal foraging course. There's talk of wild mushroom soup and homemade Elderflower Champagne.

From the organisers: "These Autumn foraging courses will take approximately three and a half hours. We’ve had a great time there for the last couple of Autumns so we’re looking forward to coming back. This course is a simple foraging walk where we expect to be able to identify a selection of edible and poisonous mushrooms and plants.

"We will meet at the Farmers Arms just north of Ledbury at 12pm. The course starts there with a 20 minute introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes where they relate to foragers. Then we’ll set off for roughly a 2.5 hour walk around Wellington Heath and the nearby woods identifying what we find, we will take the best mushrooms back to the Farmers Arms to taste afterwards.

"We will provide a wild food based light lunch somewhere along the walk, probably some nice warming wild mushroom soup, plus some of our home made Elderflower Champagne."
