Cost-a-Livin Charity Reunion Gig @ Baskerville Hall, Clyro

Thirty one years after they first formed, the original and subsequent Cost-a-Livin band members are reuniting to celebrate the music and the community that made them popular, all in the name of good causes.

"We are delighted to announce the Cost-A-Livin 30th + 1 Anniversary Reunion Charity Gig, which will be held at Baskerville Hall Hotel (Clyro Court) on Saturday 7th October 2017.

"Proceeds for this event will go to St Michael’s Hospice, Cancer Research UK and St David’s Hospice."

An important venue for the Welsh/Hereford border, Baskerville Hall has a long history of putting on shows. In the 90s it was home to rave culture – the music, the parties and the dancing that poured over the nation’s youth. Between 1990 and 94, the venue saw the likes of Danny Rampling, Carl Cox, Darren Emerson, Jody Wisternoff (Way Out West), Grooverider, Colin Dale, Luke Slater, Easygroove and Mixmaster Morris on the bill. Making a return for Big Love will be Fantazia, the rave promoters who put on one of their first parties at Baskerville.

If that wasn’t enough to secure the county house - 20 miles west of Hereford, 2 miles from Hay - a place in festival history, it’s been credited as the birthplace of Green Man, Big Chill and Boom Town, all of which were held at Baskerville in their early days.

And during the 2017 Hay Festival, it welcomed Norman Jay and DJ Yoda, part of the Sound of the Baskerville shows.
