It's no coincidence that the cult film/tv show shares its name with a Clash song. 'This Is England' was always going to have a strong connection to music.
And as fans will know, both the tv series and 2006 film of the same name followed through, as the on-screen skinheads stomped to ska, soul and reggae. Now the show's star, Thomas Turgoose, is carrying on that connection and is taking up the 1s and 2s at the Venue for a night.
Supported by DJ Moon on a Stick and "loud, angry anti-fascist" band Terminal Rage, Turgoose will be buttoning up his Fred Perry polo and banging out the tunes.
